Our Programs
(1) annual Fellowship
For each cohort, 10-15 women will have access to mentorship and learning resources for an 8-month period that will help prepare them for entry-level positions in cybersecurity and/or privacy.
Scholarships support the purchasing of resources such as exam vouchers, certification prep courses, attendance at conferences, and booking subject matter experts to speak on important cybersecurity topics.
Our partners can provide speakers to support the cybersecurity/privacy curriculum for each cohort
Fund the cost of cohort learning materials
Volunteer as mentors to help guide cohort participants as they discover their path into cyber and privacy
Fund costs of conference attendance for cohort members

Webinars
BGiC will collaborate with our partners to host webinars that provide insight into careers in cyber, privacy, technology trends, and how to cultivate a successful career in the high-demand areas of cybersecurity, STEM, and privacy.
We would like to promote discussions that address current cybersecurity and privacy issues, and the various types of career opportunities that address the challenges we face in the world of cyber and information security.

Industry Awareness and Diversity
(3) INTERNSHIPS/EXTERNSHIPS
In partnership with the cyber and privacy communities, we would like to build relationships with organizations that can provide opportunities for women to gain valuable experiences through real-life exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities in various careers related to cybersecurity and information privacy. This will provide an opportunity for qualified women to find their way through the doors of cyber for entry-level positions.
Provide Cybersecurity, Risk, Privacy, or STEM-related internship/externship opportunities coupled with our biannual cohort, creating an opportunity for students to build resumes, gain hands-on skills, network and get their foot through the door.
Include BGiC students in the recruiting process for your existing diversity programming for security, privacy, or STEM roles.
Cover fundamental SANS, IAPP, ISACA, Google Cloud, AWS Cloud, and/or CompTIA training for BGiC members.

Collaborate on BGiC conferences that facilitate job pitch competitions, interview prep, hands-on training, career expos, etc.
Collaborate on BGiC cohort participation, creating opportunities for students to gain internship or externship experiences.
Opportunity for BGiC to provide advisory support to curriculum and program development for students.
Host workshops or webinar events on careers within cyber that are inclusive of the school of business, communications, etc.
