We create industry awareness and diversity in cybersecurity, privacy, and STEM through mentorships, scholarships, webinars, conferences, and community outreach.
What we do…
Our Activities
annual Fellowship
For each cohort, 10 women will have access to mentorship and learning resources for a 8-month period that will help prepare them for entry-level positions in cybersecurity and/or privacy.
Events
BGiC hosts an annual in-person conference REFRESH. The goal of the event is all about refresh your mind, body, and soul. Whether you're looking to learn something new, connect with like-minded individuals, or get a mental reset, BGiC REFRESH has got you covered.
University Partnerships
We want to collaborate with cyber, STEM, and information privacy programs at HBCUs to provide a path with direct access to valuable information that will also keep curriculums connected to current events, tech trends, and the most in-demand career opportunities in cyber.
Internships & Externships
In partnership with the cyber and privacy communities, we would like to build relationships with organizations that can provide opportunities for women to gain valuable experiences through real-life exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities in various careers related to cybersecurity and information privacy.
